If you apply the VRC Fury's Fix Write Defaults component to the Off Avatar and set it to Forced On, it will work, but cannot guarantee perfect functionality.

Product Description

This is a Sci-Fi style knife (limited to Type A and D) with a semi-transparent sheath. It features a subtle distortion effect in the trail when swung. (This effect can be toggled On/Off in the menu.) Additionally, both left- and right-hand positions are supported. While sheathed, you can switch hands by using the opposite hand. You can also perform a gesture to spin the knife. (The default gesture is open hand, but it can be changed via the menu.) Depending on the gesture assigned to each direction, you can switch between standard and reverse grip. It is initially fitted to the Miltina avatar. For use with other avatars, please refer to the setup and operation instructions.
